Joanna Valente (aka JoJo Snaps) is a cannabis photographer who prefers personality over polish and stories over rules. Based in Southern California, she documents culture as it actually exists—unfiltered, slightly chaotic, and way more interesting than whatever was planned.
She’s best known for Puff Portraits™, her trademarked series capturing people mid-exhale, turning smoke into art and unsuspecting subjects into icons. What started as a “what if?” turned into an experience, a movement, and—yes—gallery walls.
Her work spans culture, brand collaborations, puff portraits, and macro photography, collaborating with brands that don’t try too hard and zooming in close enough to make everyday details feel dangerously good. She came for the weed, stayed for the people, and is absolutely still judging your lighting.
